Privacy Policy

1. Purpose and Commitment

At EnoTourismClub, we are committed to handling personal data responsibly and transparently. This Data Usage Policy explains in detail how and why we use personal and non-personal data when operating our tourism and wine experience booking platform. As an intermediary seller, our role is to connect customers with independent service providers such as wineries, tour operators, and hospitality partners.

We ensure that all data processing activities are conducted in accordance with applicable data protection laws, including the GDPR, and follow principles such as lawfulness, fairness, transparency, data minimization, and security.

2. Scope of Application

This Policy applies to all individuals who interact with EnoTourismClub, including customers making bookings, users browsing the platform, and partners providing services. It governs data collected through the website, mobile interfaces, customer support channels, and third-party integrations.

Whether you are simply exploring wine experiences or completing a booking, this policy explains how your data is used throughout your interaction with our platform.

3. Categories of Data Collected

EnoTourismClub collects different types of data depending on how you use the platform. This includes identity and contact details that allow us to identify and communicate with you, as well as transaction data related to bookings you make. When you engage with our marketing communications or provide feedback, we may also collect marketing and communication data to improve our services and tailor our offerings.

4. Detailed Data Usage Purposes

4.1 Booking Facilitation and Service Delivery

The primary use of your data is to enable the booking and delivery of tourism services. When you make a reservation, EnoTourismClub uses your information to process the booking, generate confirmations, and share necessary details with the selected service provider.

For example, if you book a wine tasting or vineyard tour, we transmit essential details such as your name, contact information, and booking preferences to the winery or tour operator so they can deliver the service effectively. This data sharing is limited to what is strictly necessary.

4.2 Account Management

If you create an account, we use your data to maintain your profile, authenticate your identity, and allow you to access booking history and saved preferences. This ensures a smoother and more personalized user experience, enabling you to manage your bookings, update personal details, and reuse information for future reservations.

4.3 Payment Processing

EnoTourismClub uses your data to facilitate secure financial transactions. Payments are processed through MONEI, our payment service provider, and we only share the data necessary to confirm and validate transactions (such as amount, currency, order reference, and billing details). We also use transaction data to manage refunds, cancellations, and disputes. Importantly, we do not store full credit or debit card details — these are collected and processed directly by MONEI, reducing the risk associated with payment data.

4.4 Customer Support

Your data allows us to provide effective customer support throughout your journey. Whether you have a question before booking or need assistance during your trip, we use your information to respond to inquiries, resolve issues, and communicate updates. Support communications may include emails, phone calls, or in-platform messages related to your bookings or requests.

4.5 Personalization and Recommendations

EnoTourismClub aims to deliver a tailored user experience. We use your browsing behavior, preferences, and past bookings to recommend relevant wine tours, tastings, and travel experiences. This personalization helps you discover experiences that match your interests. While this may involve profiling, it does not result in automated decisions that have legal or significant consequences for you.

4.6 Marketing and Promotions

With your consent, we may use your data to send promotional content, such as newsletters, special offers, and curated wine tourism experiences. We may also use data to measure the effectiveness of marketing campaigns and improve our communication strategies. You retain full control over marketing preferences and can opt out at any time.

Our newsletter is only sent after you confirm your subscription through the link we email you. We store your email address, your language and when you subscribed and confirmed. Every newsletter has an Unsubscribe link that stops it immediately.

5. Data Security

EnoTourismClub has implemented technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data against loss, misuse, alteration, unauthorized access, and theft. Our platform uses Supabase with Row Level Security (RLS) policies to ensure that users can only access data they are authorized to view. Authentication is handled securely through Supabase Auth.

6. Data Sharing

Your personal data will not be disclosed to third parties without your express consent, except in the following circumstances:

• Booking requests — your contact details are shared with the winery or tour agency you are booking with, so they can confirm and manage your reservation
• Payment processing — transaction and billing data necessary to process your payment is shared with MONEI, our payment service provider
• Service providers — we use trusted third-party services (Supabase for data storage, IONOS for email delivery, Vercel for hosting and anonymous performance measurement) that process data on our behalf
• Messages — messages you send through EnoTourismClub are shared with the host or guest you are writing to, and we email them a notification so they can reply
• Legal requirements — when required by courts or competent authorities under applicable law

7. Accuracy of Data

You are responsible for ensuring that any personal data you provide through EnoTourismClub is truthful, accurate, complete, and up to date. You may update your profile information at any time through the Settings page.

8. Your Rights

You may exercise your rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability, and objection regarding your personal data by contacting us at:

To unsubscribe from marketing communications, you may send an email from the address you wish to unsubscribe with the subject line "Unsubscribe", or use the unsubscribe link included in every marketing email.

9. Data Retention

We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you with our services. Once the relationship has concluded, data will be retained only as required by applicable legal obligations and deleted when no longer necessary for its original purpose.

Site statistics (see section 10) are deleted automatically after 13 months. Problem reports you send through the help centre, including any screenshots you attach, are kept privately for as long as needed to answer them and improve our service.

10. Cookies and Site Statistics

We use necessary cookies to keep you signed in, remember your language, currency and cart, and keep payments secure. These are always on.

Only with your consent, we also collect site statistics: which pages are visited, which searches are made, how far visitors get in the booking process, the type of device, the site language and the country. We use a random visitor number instead of your name or email, remove booking and account numbers from page addresses, and do not store your IP address with these statistics. We use them only to understand what is working and to make the website easier to use. We never use them for advertising and never sell them.

The legal basis is your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR). You can withdraw it at any time through Cookie settings at the bottom of every page, and it stops immediately. Full details, including every cookie we use, are in our Cookie Policy.
