1. What cookies are
Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser. We also use similar browser storage (local storage and session storage). In this policy we call all of them “cookies”.
2. Necessary cookies
These make the website work: signing in, your language and currency, your cart and secure payments. They are always on because the site cannot work without them, so we do not ask for consent to use them.
| Name | What it does | How long |
|---|---|---|
| etc-consent | Remembers your cookie choice | 6 months |
| Supabase session (sb-…-auth-token), etc-auth, etc-role | Keeps you signed in and secures your account | Until you sign out |
| etc-locale, etc-language | Remembers the language you chose | 1 year |
| etc-region, etc-currency | Remembers the currency you chose | Until you clear it |
| etc-cart-v2 | Keeps your cart if you are not signed in | Until you clear it |
| etc-dismissed-reviews | Stops review reminders you closed from coming back | Until you clear it |
| googtrans | Used only if you switch on automatic page translation | Session |
| MONEI payment cookies | Set by our payment provider on the payment form to process and protect your payment | Set by MONEI |
3. Site statistics
Only if you say yes, we count visits and record which pages, searches and booking steps are used. We use this to find what is confusing and make the site easier to use. We never use it for advertising and we never sell it.
What we record: the page address (with booking and account numbers removed), the website you came from, your device type (phone, tablet or computer), your site language and your country. We do not record your IP address with these statistics. We keep them for 13 months and then delete them automatically.
| Name | What it does | How long |
|---|---|---|
| etc-vid | A random number that lets us count returning visitors. It does not contain your name or email. | 1 year |
| etc-sid | A random number for one visit, so we can see which pages are viewed together | 30 minutes of inactivity |
| Vercel Web Analytics and Speed Insights | Count page views and measure how fast pages load. These do not set cookies. | No cookie |
4. Changing your choice
You can change your mind at any time. Saying no later stops the statistics straight away and removes the statistics cookies from your browser.
You can also delete cookies in your browser settings. If you delete the necessary cookies you will be signed out and your language, currency and cart will be reset.
